WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
If a question is asked on why we do what we do, I mean why we go to work and why we do our jobs, so many answers will be provided.
Majority of the answers we will get is to earn a living, to be wealthy, famous and much more. And I wonder, is this why we work. The reason why we render such services should be beyond making money and becoming famous.
Its so sad that all we think of before taking up a job and while rendering our services is ourselves. Yes, we think of how much we can earn and we don't think of the services, sacrifices and value we ought to give to our customers and clients. It is very good to think about yourself, it is very cool to care about yourself but how much are you willing to sacrifice for your customers and clients, do you think of their joy too, do you think of the value they will get and their comforts.
We ought to be passionate about our works and jobs. We ought to be committed to what we do and we ought to be diligent in all we do.
Little wonder, our world is losing shape and form, we complain that some individuals are behind this but you know what, WE ARE OUR PROBLEMS. How can we have a stable world when we are not passionate, committed and diligent in our works and jobs. I am not referring to a particular sector, it cut across all sectors(including education, entertainment, commerce, community services and much more).
Think about the services you are rendering, are you doing it for money or because you are passionate about it. Be more concerned about what you can offer and not what you will be offered. Volunteer to save others, don't always go after money, it will come to you.
Being passionate about what we do is not just about being happy about it, it also means even when we get tired or frustrated of doing that, we still go on with our works and jobs. Being passionate is understanding our bosses or clients will not smile with us everyday but we still have to hold on to our jobs.
Even when you don't like the work you do, give it time and cultivate it, you will be passionate about it. If you are not happy about what you do, then you will find it difficult to make your customers and clients happy. Be passionate, be committed and be diligent.
