ARE YOU COMFORTABLE?
ARE YOU COMFORTABLE?
Don't be comfortable with small achievements. You see, It's easy to allow all the accolades that come from small wins get to your head. Before long, you begin to feel entitled, like an heir to a throne.
But you don't need to read a thousand pages of history books to tell what a sense of entitlement can do to a person.
The consequences of living with a sense of entitlement are depicted all around us: that friend of yours that had the world at her feet and it seemed like she was headed for the stars until she allowed the little fame she started getting get to her head until she abandoned all the discipline, hard work and diligence that got her there.
I mean, you still remember the stories of people from way back that had so much potentials, their prospects shone like a million stars until they got complacent and abandoned the things that got them the little fame in the first place.
But the biggest danger of getting complacent is that, overtime, you begin to lose momentum. And when you lose momentum, you lose everything. You lose the force that pulls you. And push won't get you far in life. There's just so much in life to rely solely on push. You need something that pulls you to a future bigger than yourself.
Now this doesn't mean you shouldn't be contented with what you have. As a matter of fact, I believe contentment is an important piece of the life puzzle. What I'm saying is that, you never settle for less than you can be. What I'm saying is that, you keep pushing yourself to new levels of success and that you keep challenging your potential to new heights. Never settle for less.
Aim for excellence. Keep working hard to get the best result.
Pursue excellence. Don't be comfortable with little, go for more. Leave your comfort zone. Don't stop. Keep moving.
