GROW BEFORE YOU BLOW
GROW BEFORE YOU BLOW
Never ignore the process if you want to get the right product. If you want to see an effect, you must trigger the cause tied to it. Let me reiterate: Never ignore the process, if you want the product.
You see, even with the right ingredients you won't get the right product if you don't follow the right process. That means even if you have the right combination of skills talent and know-how you still won't make the most of it if you don't follow the right process.
Why do people skip the process? There are many reasons but for the sake of brevity I'll focus on one.
Many people walk around bound to the chains of other people's expectations of them. So because they want to be seen or perceived a certain way, they do all they can to play that role.
And if you are caught up in this rut, it's hard to follow through on the process that leads to maximizing your potentials.
You know, there's a popular catchphrase people use to justice fakery. They say "fake it until you make it". While I agree with things like, dressing in a way that reflects the future you desire for yourself and carrying yourself in a way that projects the confidence of a successful person, I don't subscribe to the idea of aligning yourself with other people's expectations of you. In fact, I believe, you actually start living when you are proactive not reactive.
Faking it until you make it is pretending to be who you are not. Don't fake it, live it. Why I'm so hard on the idea of "fake it until you make it?" Its simple: it puts you under unnecessary pressure. You find yourself borrowing and even getting into debt. Even worse, it can take away your peace of mind.
If you are not there yet, it's not a crime, just keep working on yourself until you become that person you dreamt of becoming. There is actually no need for showcasing lies on social media or trying to make others feel you have blown( that's what we call it in Nigeria).
My advice is, stop acting like someone you are not. Don't put others on unnecessary pressures because of your fake life. Be real, speak the truth, post the truth, stop unnecessary packaging( another word we call it in Nigeria). Begin to live right.
Don't be conscious of what others will say about you. If you avoid the school of "fake it until you make it", you will avoid a life where people are always knocking on your door to collect their money back, where you don't borrow clothes from people to show off. If you don't have it, you don't have it, stop faking it.
